Whitecourt Meet!

We are super proud of how well all the swimmers did at the meet in Whitecourt! It isn’t always easy to be able to go to a new meet where we don’t know anyone but the outcome was phenomenal! Megan and myself are incredibly proud of the kids for how well the meet went! Everyone was on time for marshalling and they continually strived for their best! There were many hurdles at the meet including a power outage! Even though the day was long the swimmers were all still positive and still swam to their best ability!

The coaches have decided that the swimmer of the meet for boys is…. Ayden Davis!!! Ayden was a great teammate this weekend! He was positive the whole time and he swam his heart out! The coaches are proud of Ayden’s personal performance in the pool but also his performance out of the pool! Ayden had two new personal bests set and Ayden supported his teammates and cheered for them whenever he wasn’t swimming. Ayden also performed his best in every race! Way to go Ayden!

And for the swimmer of the meet for girls, we chose…… Mairen Lawson!  Mairen has had a very successful season so far this year and keeps striving to do more! Mairen is always a positive role model at the meets and she constantly is cheering for her team whenever they are in the pool!  Mairen trains hard at practice and it shows in her meet performance, she consistently impresses her coaches! Mairen had a great meet in Whitecourt mixing up her competition but she still stayed calm, cool, and collected! Way to go Mairen! Keep up the great work!
